My Daddy and Me

My daddy and me have a good relationship. 

He is now working in Charleston and living in Summerville, S.C three hours away, I like that. When I went to PA with my daddy we spent a lot of time with each other. I want to spend a lot more time with him then I am now, but then again, we are separated because he got a job there. He does come on weekends but it is not the same.

Daddy if you are reading this, I love you daddy. Daddy I have just one thing to say “please please spend more time with me when we all move." I’m so so so excited that we are moving to be with you in less then three weeks.

But I am going to be in forth grade in two months or so.

Everyday I call my daddy or my daddy calls me, it depends. But I like calling him so we can talk. There is just one thing I do not like - it is that I can’t see him every morning and night. I miss him through the weekdays but on weekends my face brightens up when I see him.

Daddy I love you so much! We have a lot of pictures together – daddy and mommy are not only the best parents but my friends too. In fact, my daddy and me are working on my shooting together and my be-be gun   totally rocks - thanks again daddy!  

I have tons of things on my mind that we could do together. I hope that he will come to Hard Rock Park as a family trip and ride the roller coaster with mommy and me.

My daddy also been supporting me through the year while our life has changed. I always feel safe and loved.

Thank you so much daddy for being the best daddy, I love you so much!

Laura Lynn Lake is the daughter of Judi and Gary Lake. She is presently in the forth grade and is 9 years old. Her hobbies include: reading, football, writing, singing, music, playing with her dog, roller-blading, ice-skating, gymnastics, riding her four wheeler, and trying to train her other dog Gloria. Her favorite TV show is "I Love Lucy," "The Munster," "The Adams Family" "The Flintstones" "The Jetsons" and she loves Hannah Montanna.

Hi Laura, it's me Lucy. hee, hee. This is a beautiful love letter for your daddy. You are very blessed! And you are a terrific writer as well. thank you so so much! I had fun with this article because I always had fun with my father he's the best. he does come on weekends so that's great now that i am done with school we should be out of loris in a blink of an eye  and thank you again Teresa aka "Lucy"
